Q: How do you use my data and who has access to it?

We use your data to manage your insurance policy, process claims, improve services, and ensure compliance with legal obligations. Only authorised personnel and third-party service providers involved in your policy management (e.g., claims processors or regulatory authorities) have access to your data.

Q: Can I rely on my Home Insurance policy to cover my kit?

We suggest that you look carefully at the cover you have under your Home Insurance as this varies greatly. It is important to check whether your policy covers your tackle whilst it is unattended. We often hear of claims where anglers have been asleep in their bivvie – 3 rods worth £8k on the bank and home insurance not covering the theft as this is deemed to be unattended. Q: How much cover do I need?

For liabilities we have set limits that we feel will cover your activities, however where specific sums insured are involved, you must provide us with the correct value of your equipment, contents, stock etc., to ensure that you have sufficient cover.

Q: Can I buy a short term policy?

We only offer annual policies and our rates are designed for this purpose. Furthermore, if you take out an annual policy and cancel it mid-term, we retain at least 40% of the annual premium.

Q: Can I get cover if I live outside the UK?

We can only cover people who live in the UK and UK-registered businesses.

Q: What is IPT and how much is it?

IPT stands for Insurance Premium Tax. This is a tax on insurers and applies to general insurance premiums at the standard rate of 12%. Travel insurance has a higher rate of 20%, which applies only to the premium relating to the travel section of your policy.
