Des Taylor’s November Blog
I Love Inspiring Anglers and Meeting People
As I write this the ground is soaked with the recent rain and night temperatures have dropped to 0c some nights well below that mark.
To be honest although I will be fishing for the likes of pike, grayling and chub this is the time of year I enjoy going to angling shows and doing talks around the country.
It’s the time of year I get to meet lots of anglers and hear about their stories and answer questions that will hopefully see them catch more fish.
I Love Inspiring Anglers and Meeting People
I spend a lot of time on my own on the bank and that’s my own choice but I also like meeting the general public for that’s what keeps me grounded and helps me write articles and features that will help the average angler.
If I’m at a show and you see me there by all means come on up and have a chat, that’s what I am there for, believe me nothing gives me more satisfaction getting a letter or a message on Facebook from a fellow angler saying that the conversation with me helped them catch more or even bigger fish.
Since becoming a professional angler, I have always thought that my main job is inspiring people through my articles in the likes of the Angling Times, my guide days for various species and my talks at shows.
My first show this winter is at the Winter Carp Show at Sandown Park the 29th and 30th of this month and I look forward to seeing you there and remember what I said just come right up to me and I’ll try my hardest to help you.
