A lot of anglers make the mistake of only using the latest innovations in rigs and bait in their fishing which is fine but what they forget is some of the old tricks still have their place in their fishing.

A good example is lots of anglers use PVA in their fishing whether that be a mesh bag or full PVA bag which both are great methods but a product that is forgot nowadays by lots of anglers is PVA string.
I think Rod Hutchinson back in the day was one of the first carp anglers to show this method and used it to produce devasting results on hard southern Carp waters.
Yet it is so simple to use and the photo shows all for I normally thread 2 to 6 boilies on the string or tape and just hang it on the hook.
This method of a couple of baits around the hook bait instead of a lot of baits which is so common nowadays especially when using bait boats can produce as a good change method.
Use quality PVA by recognised brands to be sure it dissolves at the stated rate and this old trick could help you towards an extra fish or two on a hard day.
