Des Taylor’s June Angling Tips
Stop Trying to Get Instant Bites
Its so common to see anglers taking five different baits with them for a day’s fishing sometimes even more.
Different flavours, different sizes and different colours but in reality, never rarely give any of them a chance to get a bite. Sometimes I may be feeding an hour even two before I get a bite still on the same bait not changing every ten minutes.
The chances are you have arrived when the fish are not feeding or are not in your swim but by feeding the swim you will change all that but keep feeding different baits in different spots the chances are you will catch very little.

I very often only take one bait with me sometimes two but that will be only be for a change in hook bait that’s how confident I am of my feeding and my bait choice and notice the less confident of anglers will take lots of different baits and keep changing their bait and rigs all the time, believe me it’s not the way if you want to make more consistent catches.
Next time out take one bait and plenty of it and stick with it the whole session and remember to keep feeding even when you are NOT having bites especially in the summer when fish will eat lots of bait once you turn them on.
